Yes. ID scanning works offline and usually reads a document in under 3 seconds, so guards are not stuck waiting on a connection.

Can the app work without internet?+

Yes. The guard app supports offline mode. Guards can keep logging visitors when the internet drops, then sync when the connection comes back.

Can guards see old logs?+

Yes. Guards can see their own visitor logs for up to 3 months, so they can review recent activity from their shifts.

Can guards edit old records?+

No. Older visitor records are read-only for guards. They can open details, but they cannot change the audit trail.

How fast is a visitor log?+

The guard flow is designed for busy desks. Scan or type, choose the unit and purpose, then save. A normal log can be done in under 30 seconds.

Can guards sign in and sign out?+

Yes. Guard accounts can sign in and sign out, so records show which guard or shared device captured the visit.

Can one guard work across multiple buildings?+

Yes. One guard can be assigned to multiple buildings and switch to the building they are working in from the app.
